Community Guidelines
Last updated: March 2026
Welcome to the Pulse community! Our mission is to create a safe, inclusive, and positive space for runners to connect, organize group runs, and build friendships. By using Pulse, you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations may result in warnings, content removal, account suspension, or permanent bans.
Be Respectful
Treat every runner with kindness and respect. Harassment, bullying, threats, intimidation, and hate speech are strictly prohibited. Pulse has zero tolerance for racism, bigotry, hatred, or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age, or national origin.
Be Authentic
People want to meet the real you. Do not create fake profiles, impersonate others, or misrepresent your identity, age, location, or running abilities. Your profile photo must be of you. Use your real name or a genuine nickname.
Keep It About Running
Pulse is a platform for runners to connect around the sport. It is not a dating app. Do not use Pulse to send messages with romantic or sexual intentions. Do not share explicit, vulgar, or sexually provocative content. Keep interactions focused on running, fitness, and building a genuine running community.
Share Cautiously
Protect your privacy and the privacy of others. Do not publicly share personal information like phone numbers, email addresses, or home addresses. Do not share other users' photos or private messages without their consent. Do not ask others for sensitive personal details.
Lead With Kindness, Not Harm
Any behavior that suggests, intends, or causes harm to another member — online or offline, physically or digitally — will be taken seriously. This includes inciting violence, encouraging self-harm, or any actions that put others at risk.
Prohibited Content & Conduct
- Violence, threats, stalking, or any form of physical or sexual misconduct
- Explicit, pornographic, or sexually suggestive content
- Hate speech or content promoting discrimination
- Illegal activities including sale or distribution of drugs
- Fraud, scams, or requests for money or financial information
- Commercial solicitation, spam, or promotional content
- Bulk messaging, misleading links, or disruptive content
- Content that promotes self-harm or dangerous activities
- Scraping, bots, or any form of platform manipulation
Running Sessions
- Sessions should be welcoming and inclusive to all skill levels unless clearly stated otherwise
- Session creators must provide accurate details (time, location, pace, distance)
- Notify participants promptly if you need to cancel — repeated no-shows may result in account action
- Always meet in public places and follow our Safety Tips
- Pulse is not responsible for user conduct during in-person sessions
Age Requirement
You must be at least 16 years old to use Pulse. Users under 16 are not permitted on the platform.
One Account Per Person
Each user may have only one account. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans or restrictions is prohibited.
Reporting & Blocking
If you encounter behavior that violates these guidelines, report it through the app. You can also block users to prevent further contact. Blocking does not automatically report the user — please file a separate report for guideline violations. Misuse of the reporting or blocking features may result in account action.
